Dean & Deluca opened its third location on the ground floor of Ko’ula, a luxury condominium in Kakaako.
Donning a sophisticated exterior and interior design, this location offers a unique ambiance different from their two other Waikiki locations.
The menu features flaky croissants made with an abundance of Echiré butter from France, along with artisanal breads and French-style pastries crafted with yeast and freshly milled organic flour. What may be most visually scintillating are the exquisite desserts prepared by expert pastry chefs trained in Japan.
Most of the products sold here are exclusive to this location, including some logo merchandise.

Han No Daidokoro Waikiki Location
The popular yakiniku grill restaurant in Kaka’ako, Han no Daidokoro, is slated to open a second location in Honolulu, right in Waikiki.
With a prime location on the first floor of Lilia Waikiki next to Waikiki Market (the former location of the Food Pantry supermarket on Kuhio), this new restaurant will lure in patrons with its premium Miyazaki and Washugyu beef, melt-in-your-mouth offerings to be prepared in a Japanese-style BBQ format. Waikiki Brewing Company
Waikiki Brewing Company, currently with a location on Queen Street in Kaka’ako, opened a new spot in Waikiki in the former Aloha Beer venue.
Patrons may wash down a variety of snacks such as pretzel bites, nachos, and fries, as well as sandwiches, pizzas, and hot dogs with their choice among about ten types of craft beer. Those preferring other libations have the option for soft drinks wines, and cocktails including mai tais.

Favorite Son
A new neighborhood eatery in Waikiki, Favorite Son, emerged on the first floor of the Romer Waikiki at The Ambassador.
Featuring mid-century design, this “deli-meets-diner” concept restaurant offers an approachable all-day menu of familiar flavors, including rustic-style protein bowls, grab-n-go toasted hoagies, farm-fresh salads, and savory square pie pizzas, all paired with retro-modern cocktails. The restaurant is open from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Mensho
The award-winning Japanese ramen chain Mensho, mentioned in the Michelin Guide, is collaborating with Genki Sushi to open new locations in Hawaii.
Planned openings include one on Waikiki’s Beach Walk (near Hard Rock Cafe) and another at Ka Makana Ali‘i in Kapolei, both slated for 2025. Mensho is known in Tokyo, Osaka, and Bangkok for its innovative ramen, with plans to expand to other U.S. locations in Utah and Houston.
Hana Tea
The beloved boba tea shop Hana Tea, previously located in Kalihi, reopened in Kakaako.
Located on Halekauwila Street—a five-minute walk from SALT at Our Kakaako, it is in the space formerly occupied by Ding Tea.
The shop offers a cozy seating area indoors and is known for its fresh, flavorful teas and fruit-based drinks. The tapioca pearls are freshly made and delightfully chewy.

Eve Ala Moana
A new nightclub, Eve Ala Moana, opened in the space formerly occupied by Vintage Cave in Ala Moana Center.
Operated by Uncle Bo’s Group, the company known for Uncle Bo’s Pupu Bar & Grill on Kapahulu, YaYa’s Chop House in Kaka’ako, and The Pupu House in Waikiki, this new venue features a bar, VIP room for up to 25 people, private liquor showroom, and full-service kitchen.
Those 21 years of age must wait two years to experience this location because entry is restricted to those aged 23 and older.

One of Downtown’s popular Indian restaurants, New Kamana Kitchen, is now open on Kapahulu Avenue in the space previously home to Haili’s Hawaiian Foods.
New Kamana Kitchen focuses on traditional flavors and fresh ingredients, showcasing a gamut of preparations reflecting India’s culinary heritage. Patrons are tempted by an impressive roster of appetizers including pakora, samosas, and soups.
